You have been referred to this page, for further information about Seal-Tight Wound Protectors, from the Scottish Diabetes Specialist Podiatrists website.
As you will have seen from the leaflet you were given (copy on the left), it is vitally important to keep your dressings dry at all times.
Until recently, this was easier said than done. People would try all sorts of things like plastic bags, 'Clingfilm' etc in an attempt to stay dry whilst washing. Unfortunately these methods leaked and became slippery when wet (leading to falls), which was unsatisfactory and even dangerous.
Seal-Tight is simplicity itself to put on and take off, is 100% waterproof, contains no latex and has a non-slip surface. Better still, when wearing one you can even take a bath as it can be fully submerged.
The best bit though it is available to you on prescription!
Your podiatrist may have given you a form like the one bottom left. All you need to do is take it to your GP for a prescription and any pharmacy will have the product for you the following day. If you dont want to go through the prescription process, you can purchase on this site by clicking the following link: -

The form in question looks like the one on the left. If your podiatrist didnt give you one of these forms, perhaps we need to forward some to them. We would be grateful if you could pass our details on, as appropriate, to help other patients in the same situation as yourself – our number is 0845 041 0150.
Many thanks and happy bathing!
